A seaworthy rebrand
Sydney Boat Collective has existed in various forms over the years however with an opportunity to take on distribution of Maritimo yachts in NSW and other expansion opportunities it was time for the brand to reflect the new direction of the business.
We worked closely with the SBC team to understand the unique requirements of their industry, their audience and personal preferences to develop a brand that stood out in their market while staying in keeping with the environment.
Using a process inspired by agile prototyping we went from brief to asset completion in a number of weeks. The process includes 3 stages:
First we explored several potential solutions informed by our brand exploration documentation which is developed in consultation with the client. These initial explorations are all stress tested in key end use scenarios so that the brand comes to life in realistic scenarios.
We then workshop with stakeholders to identify preferred options and use this feedback to refine the initial options down to one robust recommended solution, stress testing against the detailed requirements on how the brand will exist in its environment.
Lastly we produce the brand documentation and suite of required assets unique to each brand, be it document templates, a website, signage or uniforms.
